![]() When I was fixing this I also discovered that I had installed the RAM incorrectly so it was running in single channel instead of dual channel. I suspect that this was reset somehow when I updated the firmware for the BIOS. ![]() I discovered yesterday that my RAM was running at 2333 Mhz instead of 3200Mhz and without XMP. Weird things is that I can't manage to get a crash even under long stress tests. I've never had a crash just in desktop mode browsing the web, watching movies etc or running other programs. It happens for multiple games when the system seems to be under heavier load. Thanks for taking the time to look into my problem. Remove any 'risers' for testing.Hello Faith, Debug Mode enabled under ' help'.Ģ) Turn off XMP - or manual overclocks/timings - for testing in the BIOSģ) Turn off overlays (statistics, monitoring, geforce experience)Ĥ) Exit any running applications in the backgroundħ) Run the GPU directly in the first x16 PCIe slot. While we can't rule out hardware as an issue, you can try some of these suggestions:ġ) Disable the GPU factory overclock by the manufacturer (if applicable) in the Nvidia Control panel. I think it's clear that it's not overheating or insufficient power (total) since that would easily be picked up when doing stress tests though. ![]() Games are always better of testing system stability than benchmarks and stress tests because it's more uneven and variable. Visual effects, or too many programs running in the background may be slowing your PC down so that the video card can not respond as necessary.*Defective parts (memory modules, motherboards, etc.) *Incorrect component compatibility and settings (especially memory configuration and timings) *Over-clocked components, such as the motherboard Hardware issues that impact the ability of the video card to operate properly, including:.You may need to install the latest updates for your display driver, so that it properly supports the TDR process.Troubleshooting this is always hard though. Is this with all games or just one or a few? While I don't know for certain if this is just an effect or a direct cause, I think the VIDEO_ENGINE _TIMEOUT_DETECTED caused by a TDR from nvlddmkm.sys (nvidia) should at least be investigated.
